Hason Raja Was Born in 1854

Hason Raja was born in 1854 in a wealthy landlord's family in Sylhet. He did not receive much formal education. During his youth, he lived a life of luxury. He had everything—money, comfort, and pleasure. Eventually, he realized the futility of material wealth. He donated all his properties and began contemplating the Creator, life, death, and humanity.

Hason Raja wrote numerous songs, possibly around a thousand. His book titled Hason Udash was published in 1906, containing 206 songs. In his writings, he referred to himself as "Crazy Hason Raja" or "Pagla Hason Raja." Another book, Hason Raja Samagra (The Complete Works of Hason Raja), was also published, containing 500 poems and songs, some of which were written in Hindi.
